Food Service Worker

About the role

Responsible for serving food to patients while maintaining good composure and following dietary plans to ensure patients receive the proper food.

Responsibilities

• Participate in provision of quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff, and guests.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area.
• Handle, store, label, and rotate all products properly and in accordance with applicable state laws.
• Assist the Director of Food Services with kitchen duties as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
• Serve food to patients.
• Work weekends as assigned.
• Work independently in a physically restricted environment for extended periods of time.

Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Ability to concentrate on work amidst distractions such as noise, conversations, and foot traffic.
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines and finish all food preparation at specified serving times.
• Flexibility in work hours to meet patient and organization operating needs.
• Ability to use kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, mixers, and dishwashers.
• Knowledge of hygiene factors involved in food preparation.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and appropriate methods for cleaning a variety of surfaces.
• Ability to work independently in a physically restricted environment for extended periods of time.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Pay

$31,200 - $44,304 per year.
