Cleanliness

• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces
• Clean and sanitize food service equipment

Equipment Handling

• Operate dishwashers and cart washing stations
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment

Transportation

• Transport tray carts to wards
• Deliver trays directly to patients' bedside
• Assist patients with transport of their meal trays

Setup

• Set-up serving areas with hot and cold foods
• Stock foods appropriately during meal service
• Identify discrepancies between prescribed diet and food allergies

Food Preparation

• Make cold sandwiches using prepared ingredients

Physical Requirements

• Continuous standing and walking
• Frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending
• Lifts up to 20 pounds unassisted; occasionally lift or move objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance
