Food Service Worker

Pay

$13.00 per hour + $1,000 new‑hire bonus. Additional $250 bonus is awarded for completing the Rookie’s Fast Track Program within the first 60 days. DailyPay provides same‑day access to earned wages.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food‑prep and food‑service shifts.
• Serve food according to planned meal schedules and department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment to cook food following recipes.
• Serve menu portions that meet clients’ nutritional needs.
• Train other food‑service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for employees and inmates.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods; be on your feet for most of the shift.
• Other duties as determined by operational needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred: prior institutional food‑service or restaurant experience.
• Passion for food and service, understanding of food‑handling regulations, desire to learn, teamwork orientation, adaptability, and flexibility.
