Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods; able to stand and be on feet for much of shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
• Passionate about food and service.
• Understanding of food handling regulations.

Requirements

Required: high school diploma or GED, and at least 18 years of age.

Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Pay

$14.00/hour + $1000 new hire bonus

Rotating shifts: 4am‑12pm and 10am‑6pm
