Food Service Worker

Responsibilities

• Provides a high quality of service to patients, families, staff and customers in the preparation and service of meals.
• Utilizes correct food sanitation and food safety.
• Completes daily, weekend and holiday cleaning.
• Stocks food products using FIFO.
• Completes grocery storage following correct locations, FIFO, timeliness, removing dented or damaged product.
• Completes cleaning of equipment, ware washing, floors, walls according to the correct procedures.

Qualifications

• Food Service experience preferably in a hospital setting preferred.
• Must obtain State of Texas Food Handlers certification within 60 days of hire.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills and experience with customers and patients.

Requirements

• Physical demands: heavy lifting/carrying between 35-50 lbs, pushing/pulling, stooping/kneeling/bending, repetitive movement, climbing.
• Ability to work in inside environments with exposure to bloodborne pathogens, loud noise, and chemical hazards.
• Sensory/communicative abilities: hearing, seeing, feeling, smelling, speaking, tasting.
