Food Service Worker

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Food Service Worker with deli experience to join our team in the South Brunswick, NJ area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to a positive dining experience. Part-time hours, typically 6 hours daily. Supportive team environment with opportunity for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping and assembling meals.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle register transactions.
• Serve food to students in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Stock, organize, and rotate food and supplies.
• Perform dishwashing and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and serving areas.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills preferred.
• Prior food service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Deli experience is preferred.
• ServSafe® Certification is a plus.

Schedule

Part-time, typically 6 hours daily.
