Food Service Worker

About the Role

Fairport Rehab and Nursing Center, a trusted leader in senior care for over 100 years, is seeking a Part-Time Food Service Worker to join our Dietary Services team. As a Food Service Worker, you will play a vital part in ensuring our residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Available Shifts

• 4:00pm-7:00pm

Schedule Options

• Part-Time (22.5 hours per week)

Weekend Availability

• Required

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food preparation, including portioning, plating, and serving meals
• Transport meals safely and efficiently to resident households and dining areas
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and workstation
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines
• Support the Dietary team with additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Food Services

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred, but not required
• Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen equipment
• Able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
• Able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able to work independently, remain flexible, and demonstrate personal integrity
• Comfortable interacting professionally with residents, staff, visitors, volunteers, and outside agencies
