Food Service Worker

Full-time, onsite food service worker position at Burke County Jail in Morganton, NC.

About the role

Join our correctional team as a food service worker, performing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment while interacting with a diverse clientele daily. You will prepare, serve, and distribute food, and may work in the tray line, dish room, cafeteria, and storeroom.

Responsibilities

• Work in various areas of the department, including the tray line, dish room, cafeteria, and storeroom
• Additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail and service knowledge
• Excellent communication and organization skills

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience is preferred but not required

Pay

$17.00 per hour
