Food Service Worker 1 - Selinsgrove Center (Part-Time, 2nd Shift)

Description of Work

This position focuses on preparing, portioning, delivering, and storing food items that support daily living at the Selinsgrove Center. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized food service operation across multiple work areas.

• Food Preparation: Prepare simple food and beverage items and assist with cutting and organizing ingredients
• Meal Assembly: Portion foods, place service wares, and check trays for accuracy during active tray line operations
• Sanitation Work: Clean and sanitize dishes, equipment, and work areas using approved procedures and chemicals
• Storage Tasks: Organize, label, and store food items using proper rotation methods and temperature checks
• Equipment Handling: Use kitchen tools, carts, and electrical food service equipment safely and correctly
• Delivery Support: Load, deliver, and return food carts and supplies to assigned areas

Schedule

• Part-time employment, 20 hours per week
• Work hours are 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• Rotating schedule with every third weekend off
• Overtime as needed
• Free parking
• No telework option available

Requirements

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act
• A conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance
