Food Service Technician (PART TIME)

About the role

Performs routine duties in the cafeteria such as stocking supplies, setting up food lines, operating the cash register, cooking short-order grill items, and portioning food to customers to ensure customer satisfaction. Follows established protocols to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.

Responsibilities

• Helps prepare and serve food according to recipes and standard procedures to ensure correct food production and minimize waste.
• Processes customer and patient meal orders, ensuring adherence to special diet requests to deliver high-quality food service.
• Assembles, delivers, and removes food trays from units following all meals in an efficient and quick manner.
• Maintains proper sanitation by cleaning pots, pans, service ware, equipment, walls, doors, and floors, and properly removing trash.
• Tracks meals served, cashier reports, and inventory to keep records up-to-date and document business processes.
• Follows standard recipes and preparation techniques to comply with diet requirements and provide compliant food substitutions for modified diets.
• Follows established procedures for the proper storage of food supplies and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience (preferred).
