Food Service Team Member

Nouria Energy Corporation is a multi‑generational family‑owned wholesale fuel distributor, convenience store operator and car wash operator in New England. Our wholesale and retail fuel businesses are multi‑branded, including Shell, Mobil, Irving, Sunoco, Gulf, Valero, Citgo, Phillips 66, Exxon, and multiple unbranded brands. We supply branded and unbranded fuel to 300+ locations across New England and New York, operate 150+ company‑owned convenience stores (ranked in the top 50 largest chains nationwide), and run one of the top 10 largest car‑wash chains in the country.

General Summary

Food Service Team Members are responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the Food Service Station during their shift, in accordance with company policy. This includes contributing to store profitability and growth while meeting every customer’s needs. Employees are encouraged to think creatively to deliver best‑in‑class service each day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all fresh made‑to‑order food items.
• Maintain all self‑service food offerings, including but not limited to coffee, fresh‑case items, dispensers, fountain machines, and the condiment center.
• Load product into the fresh case as needed.
• Operate the cash register.
• Provide best‑in‑class customer service.
• Maintain high levels of sanitation.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels for freshness and availability.
• Stock: back‑stocking, filling condiments, supplies, and rotating product by received date.
• Greet every customer with a smile and sincere greeting.
• Suggest possible purchases and promote specials.
• Assume full responsibility for executing Nouria’s customer‑service program at the site level.
• Minimize safety risks to employees, customers, and suppliers.
• Enforce all environmental and hazardous‑material regulations.
• Maintain safety and security of the store and document any accidents or incidents.
• Manage maintenance of the customer environment inside and around the store perimeter.
• Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support implementation of the Nouria Safety and Health program.
• Promptly report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses.
• Complete the new‑employee safety orientation procedure.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (gloves, hat/visor, apron).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Understanding of product/production processes and allergen & food‑safety awareness.
• Basic knowledge of product, production processes, and techniques for maximizing production.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Ability to work alone or as a member of a team.
• Awareness of sanitation and hygiene practices.
• Concern for the safety of self and co‑workers and a responsible attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ensure physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of all store facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the store.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Pay

Starting rate: $17.50 per hour.
