Food Service Team Member

About the role

Join our Food Nutrition Service Team and work in a fun, team-oriented environment where you can express your talents and creativity while making a difference in the lives of others. As a Food Service Team Member, you will perform various duties associated with the production and service of patient meals, including minimal food prep, food delivery, and kitchen cleaning. You will have the opportunity to interact with residents and their families while providing restaurant-style dining in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies to prevent waste and ensure quality products; date, label, and store items properly using proper food handling techniques.
• Scrape, stack, wash, and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots/pans, etc.; remove broken or chipped items from use; wrap flatware as needed.
• Properly transport and store dishes, flatware, utensils, pots/pans, etc., ensuring sufficient quantities are clean and sanitized for meal preparation and service.
• Clean and sanitize the dish machine, dish room, and trash cans; keep work area clean and uncluttered; complete assigned cleaning duties.
• Assist the cook in preparing and serving foods for all diets (therapeutic, mechanically altered, etc.) according to planned menus, using proper portions and special diet items; prepare beverages, breads, and other menu items as assigned.
• Assemble meal trays on the tray line, checking for accuracy of diets, preferences, and quality; deliver carts to floors as needed.
• Bus tables in dining area(s) as needed; clean and sanitize tabletops in dining area(s).

Schedule

AM or PM shifts available.
