This is your opportunity to lead and grow within our passionate Food Services Team. As a full-time Food Service Supervisor, you’ll work alongside a manager to coordinate operations, oversee staff, and contribute wherever needed—all while developing your skills and pursuing what matters to you.
Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain work schedules; may prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes).
- Direct daily activities to ensure safe, high-quality food production in accordance with policies, procedures, and department requirements.
- Maintain organized, hazard-free food storage and serving environments.
- Ensure food items are served per menu specifications following Aramark policies and procedures.
- Maintain a sanitary department in compliance with health and safety codes and regulations.
- Conduct accurate weekly inventory; prepare orders as needed to support production.
- Supervise and evaluate employees; provide counseling, promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment.
- Train and mentor other food service workers.
- Maintain logs for equipment maintenance and complete food safety/temperature logs with corrective actions as necessary.
- Perform preventative maintenance checklists and recommend equipment replacements as needed.
- Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager, including filling in for absent employees.
- Oversee daily catering events, ensuring timely preparation and delivery.
- Work occasional night and weekend catered events.
- Attend food service meetings and maintain communication with staff (e.g., email, phone, inter-office mail).
- Perform cashier duties as needed.
- Promote positive public relations.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions.
- Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year of employment.
- Knowledgeable in operating an efficient, cost-effective program.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $24.00 to $27.00.
