About the role

The Henry Ford is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring people through unique educational experiences centered around innovation and tradition. We seek a part-time Food Service Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Lamy's Diner in The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation.

Responsibilities

• Interacts and communicates professionally and friendlily with guests, managers, and co-workers.
• Manages assigned units from setup to breakdown, overseeing daily operations.
• Maintains food quality and quantity, communicating with culinary and warehouse teams.
• Organizes stock, product, and materials in each unit under the guidance of the Food Services Manager.
• Coordinates tasks among service staff and assists in the orientation and skill-building of new employees.
• Ensures adherence to food safety and sanitation policies, collaborating with the Food Services Manager.
• Plays a key role in managing department inventory and assisting with special events.
• Operates and maintains food service equipment according to department standards.
• Performs cash register duties and utilizes problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
• Assists with staff time management and provides guidance on safe equipment operation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Two or more years of food service experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Completed alcohol awareness and ServSafe training

• Available to work up to five days a week, including daytime, evening, holidays, and weekends

Pay

The salary range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule
