About the role
The Food Service Supervisor II position involves supervisory responsibilities in managing food service operations and ensuring compliance with sanitation standards as outlined by the NC Food Code in a moderate scale food service operation. The role oversees food preparation, procurement and storage of food and supplies, staff training, and record keeping. A key component of the job is supervising and supporting employees through hiring, scheduling, performance evaluation, and discipline. The supervisor is also responsible for planning and conducting in-service training for staff to maintain quality and safety standards.

Requirements
This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and sanitary food service in a moderate-scale operation. The working hours for the Food Service Supervisor II position are from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree dietetics, food management, culinary arts, hospitality management from an appropriately accredited institution.
- or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of supervisory experience in the preparation and serving of food in quantity lots.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrates considerable knowledge of food service operations, including methods, materials, equipment, procurement, inventory, and therapeutic diet requirements.
- Skilled in developing and using standardized recipes and accurately estimating food quantities for service.
- Proficient in evaluating and correcting sanitation and food safety practices in accordance with the NC Food Code.
- Experienced in employee supervision, including planning, organizing, and directing work, as well as applying management principles.
- Knowledgeable in food service software and able to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting a minimum of 20 lbs.

Pay
Salary Range: $39,244.00 – $68,679.00
