About the role

Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain work schedules; prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes).
  • Direct daily activities to ensure safe, high-quality food production according to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure food items are stored, served, and maintained per menu specifications and safety standards.
  • Maintain a sanitary department in compliance with health and safety codes.
  • Conduct accurate weekly inventory; prepare orders as needed.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and mentor employees; promote teamwork, efficiency, and morale.
  • Maintain a safe, hazard-free working environment.
  • Train and support other food service workers.
  • Maintain logs for equipment maintenance and food safety/temperature, including corrective actions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and recommend equipment replacements.
  • Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fill in for absent employees as needed.
  • Oversee daily catering events, ensuring timely preparation and delivery.
  • Work occasional nights and weekends for catered events.
  • Attend food service meetings and maintain clear communication with staff.
  • Perform cashier duties when necessary.
  • Promote positive public relations.
  • Adapt to changing job duties as needed to meet commitments.

Requirements

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
  • Complete a sanitation course before or during the first year of employment.
  • Knowledge of operating a cost-effective food service program.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 to $24.00.
