About the role
Food Service Substitute position available on an as-needed basis, Monday through Friday, across the district.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily food menu items in a large-scale setting
- Complete inventory, production records, and daily sheets
- Follow recipes and calculate quantities using simple math
- Operate personal computers and related software
- Maintain the highest standard of sanitation and safety according to HACCP principles, the State of Illinois, and Local Health Departments
- Communicate respectfully with staff, children, and coworkers while working effectively as a team member
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Food Sanitation Certification required (District will assist in obtaining)
- Previous experience in large-scale food preparation preferred
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations
Pay
$16.00 per hour
