Food Service Substitute 2026-2027

Qualifications

• The qualified applicant must have a minimum of a high school diploma or grade level equivalent diploma (GED).
• Be able to pass a background check.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Float between buildings where needed.
• Follow recipes and use kitchen scales and measuring utensils to prepare meals.
• Maintain inventory.
• Clean and store utensils, trays, pans and kitchen equipment.
• Portion and serve food to students and staff.
• Clean lunchroom, kitchen and equipment after use.
• Maintain high degree of sanitation.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
• Attend work regularly and promptly.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Other duties as assigned.
