Primary Responsibilities
- Handling, preparing, cooking, and serving food.
- Catering to regular, modified, and special dietary needs.
- Sanitation: Ensuring all work, preparation, and serving areas are kept clean and sanitary.
Key Qualities For Applicants
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Ability to accommodate dietary modifications (e.g., special diets for medical or health conditions).
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple food preparation and serving tasks efficiently.
- This is a full-time, shift position.
- Shifts are 8 hours in duration. Both Saturday's and Sunday's are REQUIRED for this position.
- Pay: Level I: $14.66/hourly, Level II: $15.63/hourly.
- Allowance, earn 15 days sick AND 15 days annual leave per year, up to 7% 401k match.
- Varies - 8-hour shifts / 5 days a week (40-hour workweeks)
- Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of lifting/carrying 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently and able to push and pull a maximum force of 50 pounds.
- Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.

Griffin Memorial Hospital is a 120-bed acute psychiatric hospital serving persons aged 18 and over with severe mental illness and provides in-patient hospital care for those in need of mental health & substance abuse services.
