Job Duties

• Prepares salads; cuts desserts; makes tea, jello, and sandwiches; and fills salt and peppershakers prior to mealtime.
• Washes, chops, and cuts vegetables; opens cans and assists food preparation specialists in preparing foods prior to cooking.
• Makes measurements and assembles ingredients.
• Washes dishes and pots.
• Performs duties that involve the cleaning and sanitation of the food service area.
• Prepares trays and special formulas for special diets.
• Gathers materials necessary for dough making.
• Assists in mixing, kneading, and preparing breads, rolls, biscuits, cakes, etc.

As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Food Service Specialist 1 or 2 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s). PAY INFORMATION FOR THE POSITION

• FOOD SERVICE SPECIALIST 1: $10.00/HR + $2.00 PREMIUM PAY PER HOUR WORKED.
• FOOD SERVICE SPECIALIST 2: $10.70/HR + $2.00 PREMIUM PAY PER HOUR WORKED.
