Food Service Sales Specialist

Primary Responsibilities

• Liaison with procurement, inventory control teams, and sales to manage inventory to support weekly and monthly demands for food service and convenience programs
• Schedule food service sample kits
• Processing of all necessary sales documentation and agreements
• Cooking and product sampling at customer sites
• Coordinating and securing food service equipment needs for customers
• Obtaining and entering purchase orders from sales team within a timely manner as needed
• Aiding the sales team with follow-up tasks including order confirmations and bookings
• Creating sales presentations and promotional marketing materials using PowerPoint
• Maintaining pricing information as it relates to food service and notifying the sales team of major price changes
• Writing and distributing required reports, analyzing profit margins, and mark-ups
• Collaborating with sales to address customer concerns and opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Strong data entry and typing skills
• Professional and effective communication with both internal and external customers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word (including V-lookups and Pivot Tables)
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• One or more years of sales or marketing experience

Pay and Benefits

• Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 base salary plus bonus potential
• Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Territory: Western Pennsylvania, Northern West Virginia & Eastern Ohio
• 50% local travel required

Position Details

• Position Purpose: Supporting and executing foodservice initiatives, coordinating customer visits to Opco kitchens, and assisting with various tasks to maintain customer relationships
• Sales Manager Reporting: Reports directly to the Food Service Sales Manager
• Work Hours: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Travel Percentage: 50%
