Food Service Restaurant Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead by Example to show all store team members and guests what a great food service program looks like.
  • Work with the store manager to build and develop a strong food service program by leading the food operation effectively. Set clear and measurable goals, assume ownership for program efficiency and success. Work with the Store Manager to hold others accountable and to position all team members for success through training, coaching, delegating and frequent communication.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to address team member performance or behavior issues quickly and fairly to keep the team strong.
  • With the guidance of the store manager, achieve operational excellence, utilizing the Company’s operational goals to achieve financial objectives. (Sales/expenses to budget, net profit).
  • Manage the overall appearance and cleanliness of the food service program. With Store Manager Oversight, delegate and direct fellow team members to maintain condition levels up to Company standard.
  • Oversee quality control, merchandising, safety programs and other guidelines in place for successful food service operations. Manage product levels so that we have what our guest’s desire and achieve the Company goal of 100% in-stock at all times.
  • Responsible for all inventory controls in the Food Service area including ordering, receiving, inventorying, and waste control.
  • Responsible for maintaining all Coen and local Board of Health cleaning and sanitation standards.
  • Work with the leadership team to communicate and fix any issues regarding product quality, food safety, equipment issues, training, signage needs, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Store Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School or GED
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year Food Service department lead capacity in retail or restaurant environment
  • Preferred Experience: 1-3 years Food Service experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: Serv Safe Certified a plus but not mandatory
  • Soft Skills: Comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members, High energy, Ability to move from one activity to another quickly, Team oriented; willing to give extra effort to help others
