Key Responsibilities
- Independently leads daily operations across various culinary roles
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards to meet licensing requirements
- Resolve customer issues and train staff in service delivery
- Manage inventory and food production within budget guidelines
- Prepare food items according to recipes and forecasts
- Assist with facility maintenance and catered events
- Participate in department meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Previous Lead experience running shift in hospital setting
- Cooking experience
- Customer service experience
Shift Details
- Full Time: 32 hours per week, Friday - Monday
- Variated Shifts: 8 hour shifts, starting as early as 6am and ending as late as 2pm
- Flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential when applicable
Core Functions
- Provides leadership of culinary service staff in assigned areas
- Works as a member of the culinary service team
- Ensures quality, regulatory, menu, and customer service standards are met
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
- Knowledge and abilities in culinary services from one or more years of experience
- Ability to learn and operate computer software, email, and point of sale systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to learn and operate all onsite food service equipment
- Ability to inventory food and supplies, count money, perform mathematical calculations, and pass certification tests as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience
- Additional experience in cooking and customer service
