Food Service Helper - Long Term Substitute

Full-Time Position; 10-month School Year; Monday–Friday 6am–1pm = 7.0 hours (start/end time could vary)

Pay

$17.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Food preparation – (salads, sandwiches, slicing)
• Portion desserts, salads, fruits for serving
• Wash, trim and prepare vegetables
• Set up serving lines
• Serve food
• Operate dish machine
• Wash pans and utensils
• Operate kitchen appliances
• Assist in cleaning of kitchen and dining area
• May serve as cashier
• Delivery service of food to off-site BOCES facilities
• Assist with vending operation
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma preferred
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations
• Training will be provided
• Possess current Driver's License
• Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodations), including but not limited to, lifting 50 pounds
