Food Service Helper - Barclay

10-month work year (off during school breaks), 5.75 hours per day (8:45 AM – 2:30 PM). Minimum pay rate: $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent desired.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 35 to 50 pounds.
• Hold a valid ServSafe Certificate or willing to complete the training.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively with peers and colleagues.
• Ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
• Displays a positive attitude and builds healthy relationships with students, staff, and families.

Experience

Previous work experience in the food service field desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of food items.
• Sets up serving lines with condiments, hot and cold foods, and table services.
• Assists in food handling, including proper storage of food.
• Serves as cashier and/or server on food service line.
• Assists in the washing and sanitizing of pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Food Services or designated personnel.
