Food Service Employee

Location: Danville South Elementary School

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both adults and children
• Support the philosophy and mission of Danville School Corporation

Responsibilities

• Prepares and assists in the preparation of a variety of foods, following standardized recipes and menus, production sheets, and portion controls in accordance with department work production standards
• Set up serving lines and steam tables
• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes and utensils; scrub and sanitize counters and tables; mop
• Operate and clean all kitchen equipment
• Keep work area clean
• Must be able to lift and put away inventory (up to 50 lbs with assistance)
• Follow safety and sanitation rules at all times when handling food and using equipment

Schedule

8 hours per day, 5 days a week, 183 days per year

Pay

Starting at $15.00 an hour or based on experience
