About the Role
The Food Service Driver assists the Dietary Aide/Cook in the preparation and service of meals, then packs and delivers food from the main kitchen to assigned units. Assists servers in ensuring a smooth dining experience for residents. Prepares and delivers food and trays, washes dishes, and cleans and sanitizes the kitchen according to health standards. Must be detail-oriented, well-groomed, act professionally, and work well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver meals to residents using a vehicle.
- Serve meals according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
- Assist with food preparation.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving.
- Current ServSafe or State Food Safety Manager/Foodhandler Certification may be required as indicated by State/County law.
