Food Service Driver
About the role
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Food Service Driver to join the team. The Food Service Driver assists the Dietary Aide/Cook in the preparation and service of meals, then packs and delivers food from the main kitchen to assigned units. The role includes supporting servers to ensure a smooth dining experience for residents, preparing and delivering food and trays, washing dishes, and cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen according to health standards. Responsibilities
- Deliver meals to residents using a vehicle.
- Serve meals according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
- Assist with food preparation.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Ability to adhere to time schedules for meal preparation and serving.
- Food Safety Manager or Food‑handler certification (current ServSafe or state certification) may be required as indicated by state or county law.
