Food Service Director FSD

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Food Service Director FSD to join our team at Pine Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, a renowned healthcare organization located in Philmont, New York.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive food service plan that meets the dietary needs and preferences of our residents and patients
• Manage a team of food service staff, including culinary staff, dietary aides, and maintenance personnel
• Oversee food service operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and nutrition education
• Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and execute catering services for special events and gatherings
• Monitor food costs and inventory, and make recommendations for cost-effective purchasing and inventory management
• Collaborate with other departments, including nursing, social services, and activities, to ensure that food service meets the needs of our residents and patients

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service management
• Possess strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of food service staff
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
