About the Role
The Food Service Delivery Driver is responsible for loading/unloading meals to each site in a timely manner, maintaining the cleanliness of the van, assisting with kitchen tasks, and potentially picking up products from local grocery stores. This role requires handling warmers/coolers weighing up to 50lbs daily. A valid chauffeur's license and a good driving record are essential. Availability is required Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Properly labels warmers/coolers for delivery to each site
- Assists in placing prepared meals in their proper containers
- Maintains/cleans the van and completes the vehicle checklist
- Keeps records of daily deliveries
- Drives the delivery van safely and efficiently to multiple off-sites
- Loads and unloads warmers/coolers into the vehicle for delivery
- Communicates professionally with site coordinators
- Performs other tasks as needed for smooth operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 months of previous delivery driving experience preferred
- Ability to interact with diverse individuals
- YMCA experience preferred
Requirements
- State of Michigan criminal background clearance (ICHAT)
- Blood Borne Pathogen training
- CPR Certification (required within 60 days)
- First Aid Certification (required within 60 days)
- Valid Michigan Driver's License
- Valid Chauffeur's License
- Clean Driving Record

Pay
$14.35 - $17.93
Schedule
Part-Time, up to 25 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
