Food Service Delivery Driver

About the role

The Food Service Delivery Driver/Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for driving a company vehicle (Box Truck) for an established route on the facility grounds, assisting in the loading, unloading, and delivering goods to routed locations. There are also duties in the kitchen that will require supervising inmates, ensuring recipes are being followed, checking food temp, checking inventory, sanitizing along with other kitchen duties as needed. This position is located inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Responsibilities

• Learning the delivery area.
• Checking orders for quality and accuracy.
• Following proper delivery procedures.
• Aid with food preparation, serving, and kitchen maintenance, cleaning, and sanitizing as needed.
• Aid with receiving food and supply deliveries from vendors and restocking.
• Transfer supplies and equipment by hand or with cart as identified by supervisor to the proper location.
• Gather supplies required for each site as detailed on production sheets and order guides.
• Load, Unload, and deliver products and orders in a timely manner.
• Report any necessary maintenance or repairs needed on the company vehicle to the manager.
• Responsible for maintaining and keeping the vehicle clean.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, and you must be at least 21 years of age.
• One (1) years' experience in delivering products/inventory preferred.
• A valid state driver’s license for assigned vehicles is required.
• Must have 6 months of experience driving a 26-foot box truck.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to transport and set up food and food service items.
• Knowledge of safe driving procedures and traffic rules.
• Strong team orientation.
