Description

• Maintains security of assets including safe monies, two-way radios, computers, food products, keys, etc.
• Ensures compliance with food handling and storage guidelines to maintain food safety.
• Assesses operations and implements corrective actions using a prevention-based HACCP system.
• Completes and files required reports related to food safety.
• Maintains appropriate food storage temperatures.
• Communicates with department management about operational issues.
• Assumes responsibility for daily opening and/or closing of the operation.
• Hires, trains, schedules, and disciplines staff as necessary.
• Develops and evaluates staff competency.
• Conducts inservices before each meal period and documents quality indicators.
• Monitors safety standards and records accidents and incidents involving visitors and staff.
• Plans, monitors, and conducts employee training.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the Food and Nutrition Department operations.

Minimum Education Required

High School Diploma plus relevant work experience or education.

Preferred

Administrative or technical background from 2-3 years of college.

Specify Degree(s)

Culinary experience from culinary school or institutional settings.

Minimum Experience Required

1-2 years of previous job-related experience.

Preferred

3-5 years of previous job-related experience.

Compensation

Pay Range: $17.30 - $26.81 per hour

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
