Food Service Cook

About the role

The Wealshire, a family-oriented dementia/Alzheimer’s care company, seeks an experienced Dietary Cook for their Bloomington care facility.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook meals for residents following dietary guidelines. - Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met. - Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. - Work closely with the dining services team to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role. - Valid Food Handlers’ Permit. - Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. - Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience in a professional kitchen setting.

Skills

- Proficient in using cooking equipment and appliances. - Ability to follow recipes and adjust cooking times as needed. - Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
