About the Role
As a Food Service Cook at Maplewood Rehab and Nursing, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking meals according to established menus and recipes, ensuring quality, presentation, and timeliness
- Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborating with the dietary team to plan and execute special events, parties, and holiday meals
- Maintaining accurate records of food production, inventory, and waste management
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and resident dietary restrictions
Requirements
- Experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting, preferably in a cook or kitchen role
- Ability to work varying shifts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
