Food Service - Cook

About the role

Eagle Crest Communities is seeking a talented Cook to join their culinary team at Eagle Crest North facility. The kitchen serves 18 memory care residents, 42 assisted living residents, 70+ independent living residents, and prepares meals for another community.

Responsibilities

• Create attractive and nutritious meals for residents according to their dietary needs and Individual Service Plans (ISP).
• Prepare meals from scratch, following nutritional guidelines and dietary recommendations.
• Maintain accurate meal documentation records.

Requirements

• Cook experience is beneficial but not required. Training will be provided to the right candidate.
• Willingness to cook from scratch and maintain a positive attitude.
• Customer service focus and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to transport meals to other communities as needed.
• Positive character and work ethic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and communicable disease screening.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.

Pay

• Starting wage is between $18.50 and $24.00 per hour, based on position, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule

• Full-time: 64 hours per 2-week pay period.
• Part-time: 32 hours per 2-week pay period.
• Casual Call: Build your own schedule, with every other weekend and holiday off.
• Available shifts: 5:30AM - 2:00PM, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM.
