Food Service Cashier or Cook 18 and over

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide great customer service to our guests, with a friendly, attentive attitude.
• Set up workstations, prepare and assemble menu items to specification.
• Prepare recipes, stock areas with supplies, check quality of products.
• Maintain workstation and clean as you go.
• Closing shift: Breaking down equipment, re-stocking, and cleaning.
• Understand City Museum standards.
• Accurately accept credit card, and vouchers for payment and issue correct change and receipts.
• Follow guidelines for payment handling.
• Closing down the units, cleaning all areas, breaking down equipment and re-stocking.
• Work with hot equipment (fryers, grills, stove tops and ovens) as well as other kitchen equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Record of Hep A vaccine or ability to receive (as required by St Louis City Health Department).
• Food Handler's Safety Card/certification.
• Good verbal & written communication skills.
• Ability to establish good relationships with team members.
• Bring your Positive Attitude.
• Able to assist guests with all questions regarding City Museum including facility layout and amenities.
• Team player, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work quickly and concisely while under pressure.
• Able to learn and follow proper food handling procedures.
• Able to work in environments that can be high paced and stressful.
• Able to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Able to arrive on time.

Physical Requirements

• Must be available to stand for long period hours.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, climb, carry and reach on a frequent basis.

Pay Range

$15.30 - $15.50 per hour

Schedule

Varying hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Reports to: Food/Beverage Supervisor(s)
