Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide great customer service to our guests, with a friendly, attentive attitude.
- Set up workstations, prepare and assemble menu items to specification.
- Prepare recipes, stock areas with supplies, check quality of products.
- Maintain workstation and clean as you go.
- Closing shift: Breaking down equipment, re-stocking, and cleaning.
- Understand City Museum standards.
- Accurately accept credit card, and vouchers for payment and issue correct change and receipts.
- Follow guidelines for payment handling.
- Closing down the units, cleaning all areas, breaking down equipment and re-stocking.
- Work with hot equipment (fryers, grills, stove tops and ovens) as well as other kitchen equipment.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Record of Hep A vaccine or ability to receive (as required by St Louis City Health Department).
- Food Handler's Safety Card/certification.
- Good verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to establish good relationships with team members.
- Bring your Positive Attitude.
- Able to assist guests with all questions regarding City Museum including facility layout and amenities.
- Team player, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work quickly and concisely while under pressure.
- Able to learn and follow proper food handling procedures.
- Able to work in environments that can be high paced and stressful.
- Able to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Able to arrive on time.
Physical Requirements
- Must be available to stand for long period hours.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, climb, carry and reach on a frequent basis.
Pay Range
$15.30 - $15.50 per hour
Schedule
Varying hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Reports to: Food/Beverage Supervisor(s)
