Food Service Attendant

About the role
Works under supervision and according to established policies and procedures to assist with the production, plating, and serving of foods (salads, desserts, deli, grill items) for the Cafeteria. Responsible for inventorying food items and keeping accurate records of food production. Must maintain sanitary work areas and utensils. Assists with ware-washing when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Follow simple instructions for daily routines.
- Read and interpret production sheets and task lists.
- Use food service equipment (scales, slicers, ovens, etc.) safely and proficiently.
- Inventory items and adjust for productivity.
- Assess and report operational issues (e.g., malfunctioning equipment, safety hazards, customer complaints).
- Follow recipes, measure and weigh ingredients accurately.
- Perform record keeping (production sheets, inventory sheets, time and temperature logs).
- May perform additional duties such as cashiering, cleaning tables, or intense cleaning as needed.
Qualifications
- Good dexterity and eyesight for safe equipment use.
- Ability to inventory items and adjust productivity records.
- Ability to identify and report operational issues to supervisors.
- Experience following recipes and measuring ingredients.
- Basic record-keeping skills (e.g., production sheets, logs).
Schedule

Pay
Hourly pay range: $17.71 – $24.28. Base pay is determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include differentials, premiums, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
