Food Service Associate 2 (On Call)

Responsibilities

• Serve food in cafeteria line
• Prepare cold foods such as salad bar, sandwiches, etc.
• Cook simple to intermediate recipes including basic soups, sides, steamed vegetables, and re-heating
• Bake simple to intermediate recipes including cookies, ready-to-cook pies, cinnamon rolls, pastries, etc.
• Control waste and rotate stock using FIFO
• Ensure proper care of food goods and leftovers
• Receive and store some orders
• Maintain clean working area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Intermediate competency in reading, writing, and mathematics
• 1 to 3 years of work experience
• Minimum of 6 months of previous food preparation experience preferred
• Ability to obtain food handler permit where required
• Good communication skills in English (or the language of the country where the position resides)
• Courtesy when dealing with others
• Ability to read and understand weights, measures, and recipes in the language of the country
• Ability to lift, move, and maneuver objects weighing up to 40 lbs
• Ability to work while standing for entire shift, make repetitive movements, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Punctuality and ability to work independently
