Food Service Assistant - PT - Evenings

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record proper temperature of food
• Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area
• Prepare and serve food items
• Restock food areas
• Clean and sanitize equipment
• Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register
• Comply with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food service
• Provide outstanding customer service and effectively communicate with patrons and co-workers
• Demonstrate ability to establish effective working relationships
• Maintain quality control standards
• Operate equipment such as, but not limited to: grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, computerized cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators and freezers

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Retail counting and reconciliation of money preferred
• Knowledge of food service preferred
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions
• Ability to perform basic math
• On-the-job training will be provided
• Serv Safe may be required to obtain within a designated time frame depending upon location of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending upon location requirements

Skills

• Experience working in the food industry (preferred)
• Ability to work independently when necessary
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation processes
• Ability to be on feet for the majority of the day and walk far distances

Pay

$14.50 - $22.50 per hour

Schedule

Evening shift, part time, 12.00 hours per week
