Food Service Assistant - Full Time Days
About the role
The Food Service Assistant at Good Samaritan Society – Mandan Sunset is responsible for various tasks including monitoring food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean serving area, preparing and serving food, restocking areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and handling payments. This position also involves complying with HACCP guidelines, providing excellent customer service, and operating various kitchen equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain proper temperature of food items
- Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area
- Prepare and serve food items
- Restock food areas
- Clean and sanitize equipment
- Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register
- Operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, computerized cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators, and freezers
- Comply with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food service
- Provide outstanding customer service and communicate effectively with patrons and co-workers
- Establish effective working relationships and demonstrate quality control standards
Requirements
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Previous customer service experience, retail counting, and knowledge of food service preferred
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
- Basic math skills
- On-the-job training will be provided
Qualifications
- Preferably, experience working in the food industry
- Possesses ability to work independently when necessary
- Possesses an understanding of food safety and sanitation processes
- Demonstrates ability to be on feet for the majority of the day and walk far distances

Pay
$15.00 - $22.50 per hour, with a $4,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!!
Schedule
Full time, 40.00 weekly hours, 8 Hours - Day Shifts, including every other weekend and rotating holidays.

This position works the hours of 5:30am - 2:00pm and is located at Good Samaritan Society – Mandan Sunset, 1011 Boundary Street Northwestand, Mandan, ND 58554, USA.
