About the role
The Food Service Assistant plays a crucial role in providing quality food service to residents in a Christian environment. Responsibilities include monitoring food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean serving area, preparing and serving food, restocking areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and handling payments.
Responsibilities
- Maintain proper food temperatures
- Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area
- Prepare and serve food items
- Restock food areas
- Clean and sanitize equipment
- Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register
- Operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, computerized cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators, and freezers
- Comply with HACCP guidelines
- Provide outstanding customer service and communicate effectively with patrons and co-workers
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Maintain quality control standards
Requirements
Minimum of 16 years of age. Previous customer service experience, retail counting and reconciliation of money, and knowledge of food service are preferred. Must possess the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions, perform basic math, and work independently when necessary. Experience with food safety and sanitation processes is also preferred.

Pay
$15.25 - $23.75 per hour, with a $2,000.00 sign-on bonus. Salary increases based on performance and years of service.
Schedule
Full-time position with 40 hours per week.
