Food Service Assistant - FT Days

About the role

The Food Service Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality food service in a Christian environment. This position is part of the Facilities and General Services department at GSS CO Estes Park.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper temperature of food
• Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area
• Prepare and serve food items
• Restock food areas
• Clean and sanitize equipment
• Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register
• Operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, computerized cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators, and freezers
• Comply with HACCP guidelines for food service
• Provide outstanding customer service and communicate effectively with patrons and co-workers
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Maintain quality control standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years of age
• Previous customer service experience, retail counting, and reconciliation of money
• Knowledge of food service preferred
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
• Basic math skills
• On-the-job training will be provided
• Possesses ability to work independently when necessary
• Understands food safety and sanitation processes
• Can work on their feet for the majority of the day and walk far distances

Qualifications

• Preferably, displays experience working in the food industry

Skills

• Customer service skills
• Equipment operation (grills, beverage machines, etc.)
• Food safety and sanitation knowledge

Pay

$15.25 - $23.75 per hour, plus a $2,000.00 sign-on bonus.

Schedule

Full time, 40 hours per week.
