Responsibilities
The Food Service Assistant works behind the scenes to provide high quality food for patients, staff, and other customers. In the hospital setting nutrition is crucial to the healing process, and the Food Service Assistant serves a vital role in helping patients with this healing process. Duties include preparation and delivery of food with a high standard of quality and sanitation, customer service, serving, cleaning, and sanitation. A high level of customer service to internal and external customers, attention to detail, teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude is required.
Requirements
- Education: None required; High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: None required.
- Skills: Basic reading and writing skills and able to do simple math; excellent communication skills; able to follow directions and work as a team player; able to stand for long periods; able to move quickly.
- Age: Must be 16 years of age or older.

Schedule
Scheduled weekly hours: 20 hours. Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, evening shift.
