Food Service Assistant - Base Kitchen (Temporary position will end June 2027)

Position Overview

Preparation, service, and cleanup of the food service program for school facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations.
• Handle inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Follow sanitation protocols and adhere to health department requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Oregon Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of food preparation and service techniques.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food service setting preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Skills

• Food safety knowledge.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Attention to detail.

Pay

$17.00 - $20.90 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

5 hours per day, 181 days per year.
