Food Service Assistant
About the role

Responsibilities
- Prepare food for cooking by washing, peeling, shredding, slicing, and mixing various food items.
- Operate dishwasher or assist with washing/sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
- Clean kitchen work areas, collect and dispose of garbage.
- Absorb food stock as needed.
- Serve food in cafeteria for visitors and staff and in patient room.
- Work in the dish room when needed.
- Work on patient tray assembly line following menu directives for determining food items for each tray.
- Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
