Food Service Ambassador

About the role

Multiple openings for Food Service Ambassador at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children’s Hospital in Spokane, WA. Positions are available as Full‑Time, Supplemental, or Per Diem.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional care and food service to all patients.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
• Receive patient or caregiver telephone calls for food and diet orders and accurately enter them into the computer system.
• Assist with delivery of meals to patients and support tray‑line activities.
• Process diet orders placed by caregivers through EPIC efficiently and accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers, demonstrating strong public‑relations and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain a working knowledge of therapeutic diets.

Required Qualifications

• National Food Handler Card – State, County, or City authority upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or training in Nutrition or Hospitality.
• At least 1 year of experience in a food service operation.
• 2 years of progressive experience in a large‑scale food service operation or hospital.

Pay

Base pay range: $18.74 – $26.61 per hour. Additional compensation may be available (shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra‑shift incentives, bonuses).
