Responsibilities
- Visit all newly admitted patients on advanced diets
- Visit all patients who have advanced from NPO/Clear Liquid/Full Liquid diets
- Visit with nursing staff on units to identify patients who need help ordering meals
- Document and resolve any patient/nursing complaints regarding meal service
- Communicate with Clinical Dietitians any patient-related issues that they need to know about
- Provide coverage for call center operators or host/hostesses as requested by supervisor or managers
- Conduct daily meal rounds
- Complete AYR test trays
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Related experience or education demonstrating knowledge of normal and modified diets and the Carbohydrate Counting and Protein Exchange Systems
- Previous networked computer experience preferred
- Basic typing skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English (Bilingual in Spanish is preferred)
- Nutrition education background or previous hospital food service, diet office, or clerical experience preferred
- 1 to 3 years of work experience is required
Pay
$16.00 - $19.90 per hour
Schedule
Part-time (20 hours per week) with benefits
- Rotating shifts with every other weekend rotation
