Ambassador - Food & Nutrition Services

Responsibilities

• Visit all newly admitted patients on advanced diets
• Visit all patients who have advanced from NPO/Clear Liquid/Full Liquid diets
• Visit with nursing staff on units to identify patients who need help ordering meals
• Document and resolve any patient/nursing complaints regarding meal service
• Communicate with Clinical Dietitians any patient-related issues that they need to know about
• Provide coverage for call center operators or host/hostesses as requested by supervisor or managers
• Conduct daily meal rounds
• Complete AYR test trays

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Related experience or education demonstrating knowledge of normal and modified diets and the Carbohydrate Counting and Protein Exchange Systems
• Previous networked computer experience preferred
• Basic typing skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English (Bilingual in Spanish is preferred)
• Nutrition education background or previous hospital food service, diet office, or clerical experience preferred
• 1 to 3 years of work experience is required

Pay

$16.00 - $19.90 per hour

Schedule

Part-time (20 hours per week) with benefits

• Rotating shifts with every other weekend rotation
