Food Service Account Manager/Cook
About the role
The Food Service Account Manager/Cook serves a dual role in fulfilling and completing deliveries to CFS customers. They prepare meals from scratch following exact recipes and specifications using a variety of cooking methods while adhering to all food safety guidelines and procedures. They fill customer orders to 100% through proper measurements, portion control, product labeling, and staging methods. They represent CFS in a positive manner while ensuring customers receive the highest level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill and complete deliveries to CFS customers
- Prepare meals from scratch following exact recipes and specifications using a variety of cooking methods while following all food safety guidelines and procedures
- Fill customer orders to 100%
- Represent CFS in a positive manner while ensuring customers receive the highest level of customer service
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid WA state Food handler’s card
- At least 2 years’ experience in food service account management or restaurant management
- At least 6 months experience as a delivery driver (any type) and have some knowledge of the area of service
- Ability to comprehend local maps and directions
- Hands-on experience in sales and an ability to deliver an excellent customer experience
- Able to develop positive relationships and handle customers’ needs
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures and transportation laws
- Must possess a valid driver license, insurance, and qualify as a PHS Approved Driver
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Must be able to effectively multi-task
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Minimum 1-year high volume commercial cooking experience
- Must be able to accurately follow and scale recipes
- Must have excellent knife skills
- Must understand food service terminology
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers
Qualifications
- Preferably experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
- Culinary school experience preferred
