About the role
A Server’s primary responsibility is to ensure exceptional dining experiences for guests. You will be the face of the restaurant, interacting directly with customers to take orders, provide menu recommendations, and deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service.
- Have total familiarity with the food menu, wine list and other beverages in the dining room including: cocktails and their garnishes, beer, wine and soft drinks.
- Knowledgeable about all pre-checking and/or cashiering and ticket procedures.
- Complete all set-up, opening and/or closing duties according to dining room side work charts.
- Understand memos, notices, instructions, guest checks and all related paperwork.
- Write guest checks legibly.
- Understand all instructions and requests from fellow employees, supervisors, managers and guests.
- Relay all compliments/complaints to the manager, assistant manager or supervisor.
- Serve all guests according to dining room standards of quality.
- Maintain a pleasant and friendly attitude in dealing with guests, management and fellow employees.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by room manager, assistant manager or supervisor, which may include helping other employees perform their duties.
Requirements
- One year of restaurant or customer service is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude, enjoyment of hospitality industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accurate order-taking and payment processing.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating tips.
- Previous money handling and computerized cash register experience preferred.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
- Must be able to obtain Casino Employee Registration License (CER) upon hire.

Pay
Pay Range USD $11.50 - USD $11.50 /Hr. Tipped Position.
