Food Server

Under the supervision of the Dining Room Manager, a Server interacts with our residents and employees to ensure a great dining experience. Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving in a friendly and efficient manner, making residents feel welcome, comfortable, and relaxed.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors.
• Prepares dining tables by laying out napkins, utensils, and refilling condiments.
• Stays updated on current menu choices, specials, and kitchen inventory.
• Directs guests to tables, presents menus, suggests dishes, assists with drink selection, and communicates guest needs to kitchen staff.
• Maintains the dining experience by delivering food, fulfilling guest needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.
• Performs basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Fills in for absent staff and assists with special events as needed.
• Greets guests warmly and follows highest standards of cleanliness.
• Adheres to all federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and food handling guidelines.
• Performs duties safely, wears required safety equipment, and reports hazards or accidents to supervisor.
• Attends mandatory in-service meetings and complies with all department and facility policies.
• Understands and follows facility’s fire and disaster plans during drills and emergencies.

Requirements

• Food Handlers’ certification from local health department (essential).
• Some high school education or equivalent qualifications.
• Previous food service or related experience preferred.

Pay

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule

Part-time PM shift: 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with weekend availability.
